Rogers Park has a great swimming area which is fresh water. It also has a volley ball court. You can also go fishing. This park also has a boat ramp and a canoe launch. They do have a concession stand and picnic tables here. If your lucky enough you may even see a manatee! This park also has showers and restrooms. This 3-acre beach park has lots to offer. If your looking for great BBQ food I really recommend going to Pit Boss Bar-B-Q Restaurant. Not only do they have great BBQ food but they also have very good lunch specials. On Wednesday's they offer all you can eat beef ribs. You can get two sides with that meal. I have a hard time deciding between the Coleslaw, Texas Toast, beans and Red Skin Potato Salad. They also have a Pit Boss Sandwich Special which is chopped pork or beef sandwich served with two sides and a choice of iced tea, soft drink or a draft beer. The Pier

The Pier located at 2ND Ave. NE and Bayshore Dr., Downtown St. Petersburg waterfront Florida has shops, restaurants and even an aquarium. It's a great place to go see the pelicans and you may even encounter some green parrots. Be sure to go to the Columbia Restaurant which is reasonably priced at lunch time. I like sitting by the large glass window with the view of the small Saint Petersburg Airport. You can watch the planes coming and going. There is also the Museum of History and the Museum of Fine Arts which are both within walking distance from the Pier. A great way to see downtown Saint Petersburg is by the trolley ride. It departs from the Pier and is narrated by the trolley driver. You can get off at any of the many trolley ride stops. You may want to get off at Bay Walk. Here you can go shopping, go to restaurants or see a movie. A few other places the trolley stops at are the Salvador Dali Museum and the Florida Holocaust Museum.

The Florida Aquarium

The Florida Aquarium is located at 701 Channelside Drive in Tampa. This Aquarium is 200,000 square feet! Here you can reach out and touch sting rays. When you walk through the Wetlands Gallery there are all different kinds of birds flying over you as well as walking beside you. The alligators are behind the glass for viewing also at the Wetlands Gallery. At Dragons Down Under there are nine exhibits. Here you will see the leafy and weedy dragons which is a must see. The sea horses are also beautiful to see. Explore A Shore is located outside. Here is where kids get to play in a pirate ship and get wet by the giant squirting eels. The gift shop here is a great place to pick up some unique gifts. The water front cafe is a nice place to grab a bite to eat and just relax.

John's Pass Village and Boardwalk

John's Pass Village and Boardwalk is located at 129th avenue and east and Gulf Boulevard Medeira Beach, Florida. Here you will find plenty of shops. Anything from nick nacks to jewelry. There are also lots of restaurants to choose from. If your looking for a great tasting New York style pizza then DeLosa's Pizzeria located at 12801 Village Boulevard at John's Pass is the place to go. The Tiki Hut at John's Pass is a great place for burgers and wraps. There are also plenty of boat cruises to choose from at John's Pass. This is a great way to end the day and enjoy the sunset.

Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach is a white sandy beach which is 35 miles long. I could stay on this beach all day and night. The water here is so beautiful and ideal for swimming. You can go find some great looking seashells in the sand. Then between 6:30pm and 10:30pm Pier 60 comes alive with live music to dance to and crafters selling their items on the pier. There is also an area for kids where they can go bungee jumping on trampolines. Clearwater Beach also has beautiful sunsets to marvel at on a clear night. If your looking for a great grouper sandwich then Frenchy's Rockaway Grill is the place to go. This restaurant is also known for their crab soup and their Oysters Rockaway. Frenchy's Rockaway Grill is located at 7 Rockaway Street, Clearwater Beach, Florida.
