Highlands Hammock is a state park which has a botanical garden. It also has nine hiking trails for those who enjoy hiking. If you like bicycling there is a three-mile loop drive. Do you have a horse? If so there is a horseback-riding trail here. A really good way to see the wildlife in remote areas of the park is by going on a ranger-led tram tour. Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park is great place to go and see all kinds of wildlife in Florida. There is an observation tower where you can view the prairie.
