Downtown Dunedin

If you are looking for a way to spend the afternoon, downtown Dunedin has a lot to offer. One of the things I enjoyed was all the shops to choose from. One shop in particular called Celtic Shop of Dunedin had some nice things from places like Scotland and Ireland. Many of the shops here you can find some unique gifts to bring home. A great place for people to go walking and bike riding is the Pinellas Trail which is 15 feet wide and 40 miles long. This trail runs through downtown Dunedin. Downtown Dunedin also holds some of the best festivals such as the Highland Games. They have band parades, dancing, bag piping and so much more. Then there is Mardi Gras which has the parade of floats and people throwing beads. There is also the Marina which is located on the intercoastal waterway between the Dunedin and Clearwater Causeways. You can go fishing and sightseeing on a charter service. Right across from the Marina is Edgewater Park. Here you will find a picnic and play area as well as restrooms. Downtown Dunedin is located west of Tampa, north of Clearwater and Saint Petersburg, Florida and right on the Gulf Coast.
