Ocala

Ocala is known as horse country. Ocala also has Thoroughbred racing. You may even feel like you are in Kentucky because of all the hills and fields, as well as the white barns here. If you would like to see more of the horses you can go on a horse farm tour here in Ocala. The Ocala National Forest is a great place to visit. With 600 lakes in the forest, 23 spring-fed streams and two major rivers this is the place to be for swimming and canoeing. You can also go horseback riding and camping here. If your looking for restaurants, boutiques and Victorian homes you can find all that in Ocala's historic downtown district.
