Anclote Key Park

This park is located three miles off the coast of Tarpon Springs, this park is accessible only by private boat. There are no provisions on the island so you must bring your own water and supplies. This is a great place for birdwatching. You may be lucky enough to see the American bald eagle here. This park has around 43 different kinds of birds. Right on the southern end of the island there is a lighthouse. You can swim and sunbathe on the beach. On the north end of the island there are grills so you can even have a picnic if you like. There is also a campground there and it is free for overnight stays. You do have call ahead of time for checking in before you arrive at the park. If you would like more information about this park, you can contact Honeymoon Island State Park, #1 Causeway Boulevard, Dunedin, FL.
