Cedar Key

One of the oldest ports in Florida is Cedar Key. This picturesque island town has inspired many artists and writers. What's not to love about this peaceful town? You won't find amusement parks here. What you will find is a beach where you can go canoeing or hiking along. There are also art galleries for all those art lovers out there. You can also find many shops here. The restaurants serve up some of the best seafood around. This is also a great place to go if you like boating, fishing and birdwatching. Another fun thing to do here is going to some of the outer islands on the guided trips. Cedar key is located on a group of keys that are approximately 50 miles west of Gainsville, Florida.
