Here is a great find in Florida called Billie Swamp Safari. There is an authentic Seminole village here. Talk about getting a feel for the old Florida. There are arts and crafts here. You can also try out the food and find out about the traditional stories. They have a native-style chickee surrounded by over 2200 untamed acres of wildlife where you can stay overnight if you want. This really is a great spot to bring the family. There is a swamp buggy Eco-Tours ride where you can see native and exotic wildlife up and close! The everglades airboat rides are a great way to see fish, alligators and turtles in their natural environment. You can also see snakes and alligators at the Animal and Reptile Shows and Exhibits. The Seminole Village and Gift shop has a nature trail and animal and bird exhibits. They have native arts, crafts, clothing, jewelry and souvenirs at the gift shop here. The Swamp Water Cafe offers American dishes and also some Seminole dishes such as catfish, frog legs, gator tail nuggets and traditional Seminole fry bread.
